Summertime! We hope our Sycamore community is enjoying the sunshine, resting, and relaxing. As we all slow down for a much needed break, the Sycamore High School PTO wanted to take this time to share some updates on the Aves Hangar.
The store (both online and physical space) is closed for the summer. We will reopen in early August. Sign up on our website to receive emails about special events and new products and follow us on social media, too, for the most up-to-date information.
SAVE THE DATE
Ohio's Tax Free Weekend, August 6-8. Although we're a non-profit and therefore always tax free, we will have special pop up hours that weekend for back-to-school shopping. We have many great new apparel items coming in for the fall, including slide shoes and new ladies' Nike pieces.
MANAGER CHANGES
Our manager, Amy Browns-Taylor, and her family, are moving to Poland for her spouse's job, and therefore she has resigned her position. Amy says, "It has been an absolute pleasure running the store and serving the faculty and staff, students, families, fans, and alumni of Sycamore Community Schools." Amy was instrumental in launching the online store and keeping things moving during the pandemic. We wish her family the best as they leave Sycamore for this adventure.Angela Brock, a Montgomery community member and Sycamore parent with twins who are rising juniors, has accepted the manager position and will begin officially on July 1. Carrie Dippold, VP of the PTO for Aves Hangar, says, "Angela has great retail management experience and previously ran the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra's store. We're excited to welcome her to the team." Angela can be reached at the general email account for the store at aveshangar@sycamoreschools.org
. Thank you sincerely for your ongoing support of the Aves Hangar and Sycamore Community Schools. We look forward to welcoming you back in August.
